ZeroNSFW Privacy Policy

Overview

ZeroNSFW helps prevent exposure to potentially NSFW images by analyzing images locally in the browser and optionally blocking access to websites based on user settings.

Data processing

• Image analysis: images are fetched from the website you are visiting and analyzed locally to estimate NSFW probability. The analysis result is used to block content on the page.
• Search query blocking: on supported search pages, the extension may read the query from the page URL to block certain queries locally when enabled.

ZeroNSFW does not send image contents, browsing history, search queries, or analysis results to the developer or any third party.

Data collection and sharing

ZeroNSFW does not collect, sell, or transfer personal data to third parties. All processing is performed locally on your device.

Local storage

The extension stores settings locally using Chrome storage, for example:

• enabled, mode (filter mode)
• siteBlockEnabled, autoPorn (site blocking options)
• blockedDomains, allowDomains (your blocklist/allowlist)

These settings remain on your device/account until you change them or remove the extension.

Permissions

• Storage — to save your settings.
• Host access (all sites) — to analyze images on the websites you visit.
• Declarative Net Request — to block main-frame navigation for domains/URLs based on your settings.
• Offscreen — to perform local image decoding and inference in MV3.
