Open the ZeroNSFW popup and press the main power button. If sites are still blocked, also check Site Blocking settings (see troubleshooting below).
Modes control how sensitive the image filter is:
ZeroNSFW works preventively: images can be hidden before they are shown, then revealed after local analysis. This reduces the chance of “unsafe” images flashing on screen.
No. Image analysis is performed locally in your browser.
ZeroNSFW does not send image contents, browsing history, search queries, or analysis results to the developer.
Protection On/Off controls the image filter.
If a website is blocked at the page level, it is usually due to Site Blocking rules.
Try this: 1) Open ZeroNSFW popup → go to Site Blocking (or the Sites screen, if available). 2) Disable Site Blocking (or disable Auto-block / “Auto-block porn”). 3) Reload the page.
This is controlled by the search query blocking feature. Disable Auto-block (or the related search blocking setting) in Site Blocking settings, then reload the search page.
Try: 1) Switch mode from Strict → Normal (or Light). 2) Reload the page. 3) If the issue persists on a specific site, send a bug report (see above).
Check:
1) The extension is enabled in chrome://extensions
2) The site is not in your allow/block lists unexpectedly
3) Reload the page (some sites are heavy SPAs and need a refresh)
4) If still broken, email us a bug report
